Courses Offered in National Institute for Cultural Orientation Lagos Training School (NICO) and Their School Fees
NICO is renowned for training cultural ambassadors, media practitioners, film directors and entrepreneurs to become more proficient at workplaces, homes and communities in their handling of Nigerian cultural realities, philosophy and practices which are relevant for economic advancements, National integration, peace and unity.
The mission of the school is to train cultural development officers, motivators and communicators who would be grounded in Nigeria cultural practices, realities, philosophy and practices that are essential for national integration, peace, unity and development in a multi-ethnic nation. To constantly spearhead the provision of innovational research aimed at making culture the vector for national integration and development.
Below are the lists of the Programs offered in the school.
1. NICO Annual Public Lecture
The Lecture Series is conceptualized as a vibrant quarterly programme to provide a forum for intellectual discourse on culture.
2. CULTURAL CLUBS
The establishment of the clubs will further enlighten the younger generation about Nigerian heritage and foster a sense of cultural pride.
3. Language Training
The programme would go a long way in fostering peace, unity and social integration among the participants and Nigerians in general.
4. Annual Roundtable on Cultural Orientation (ARTCO)
A platform for scholars, policymakers, researchers and relevant stakeholders to brainstorm and exchange views on topical cultural issues.
The school has zonal offices in Katsina, Akure, Owerri, Kwara, Yola and Yenagoa.
