The Appointments and Promotions Committee of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has approved the promotion of 22 associate professors to the rank of professors.
According to a statement from the Office of the Registrar on Thursday, the decision was taken at the committee’s meeting held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

Commenting on the development, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Adeoluwa, expressed pride in the committee’s decision, describing the newly minted professors as not only trailblazers in their respective fields but also a vanguard of a brighter academic future for the university.

The newly appointed professors were selected based on evaluations of their academic contributions, research publications, teaching experience and service to the university, the Registrar noted.
Similarly, the Committee approved the promotion of some Senior Lecturers to the status of Associate Professors, including Dr. Mercy Daramola, Dr. Anna Awopetu, Dr. Oluwafemi Adebayo, Dr. Ilesanmi Osasona, and Dr. Olaniyi Ojo.
