413 Staff Promoted At LASPOTECH
The Management of the Lagos State Polytechnic has promoted four hundred and thirteen Staff members (413) in the Institution, following the conclusion of years 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 Appraisal Exercise for both Academic and Non-Teaching staff.
The back log was a liability inherited by the new administration on assumption of office on 1st December, 2020 which was due to the crises that existed in the Polytechnic and also the COVID-19 pandemic.
A total number of twenty-four (24) Principal Lecturers were moved to the position of Chief Lecturer, while one hundred and thirty-nine (139) academic staff progressed to their respective next Grade Level.
Also, one hundred and thirty-six (136) non-teaching staff in the senior cadre were promoted and a hundred and fourteen (114) junior staff were equally promoted.
The Rector, Dr Oluremi Nurudeen Olaleye remarked that the Management is keen on staff welfare and development, noting that the advancement will enable the promoted staff to ease some financial burden at this trying period of our Nation’s economy.
He urged staff members to be committed in discharging their duties, promising that his administration will not relent on its efforts on staff welfare.
