INSECURITY: Idah Poly Students Protest
The Students of the Federal polytechnic Idah, Kogi State, in the early hours of Monday 5th September, 2022 staged a peaceful protest over incessant robbery and stealing of students properties in the polytechnic community.
POLYTV gathered that One of the suspected thieves was nabbed yesterday in the school’s girls hostel but was rescued by vigilantes to avert jungle justice.
Having not been satisfied with the arrest of the criminal, the students in their numbers this morning shutdown the polytechnic as they demand for the criminal to be released to them for necessary action.

An eyewitness who spoke with POLYTV on the matter said, “One of the thieves was caught yesterday in the girls hostel and was taken away by vigilantes.”
“This morning, students came down to the school to protest as they demand for him to be released to them for mob action because they think he might be released later after bribing the vigilantes.”
The students laments incessant robberies in the polytechnic community, they call on the school authority to address this Issue.
