Why We Asked Students to Resume With their Mattress- KENPOLY Management

The Governing Council of the Kenule Saro Wiwa Polytechnic (KENPOLY), Rivers State has explained the reasons for asking students who applied for hostel accommodation to resume with their mattress.
According to the council, the decision is to prevent transmitted infection and skin diseases among students assuring that the management will ensure that all mattresses available in the school hostels will be sanitized to put students on a safe side.
The council stated this during a meeting with the students union government.
The SUG President, Comrade Oba Pleaded on behalf of the students for the school management to reconsider her decision and after deliberations, it was approved that the foams in the hostels would be fumigated and repackaged for the new students of the 2022/2023 session that applied for hostel accommodation.

The SUG President said, “The Governing Council Chairman changed his decision due to the cries and pleas from the students, and he reconsidered our request and appeal as a father. And his decisions as a father were in favour of the students of kenpoly. Hence the foams in the hostels would be fumigated and repackaged.”
He added “We want to say a big thank you to the management of kenpoly for listening to the plight of the students.”
