URGENT: 2024 Direct Entry Candidates Must Upload IJMB, JUPEB Results or Lose Admission

Abuja, Nigeria – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a critical directive to all candidates who applied for the 2024 Direct Entry (DE) admission using awaiting results from the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) or the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB). Candidates must immediately upload their results at any approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre as soon as they are released.
Failure to comply with this directive will lead to disqualification from the 2024 DE admission process, JAMB warned.
According to a statement from JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, many candidates who registered for DE with awaiting results have yet to upload them. The examination body reiterated that no candidate will be considered for admission with an “awaiting result” (AR) status, mirroring the policy applied to UTME applicants.
“Any application marked as ‘awaiting result’ that does not comply with this directive will be disqualified from admission consideration,” the statement read.
JAMB emphasized that candidates’ credentials must be verified to determine their eligibility for admission. Those who fail to upload their results will be considered as not having any, thereby nullifying their application.
Furthermore, JAMB advised prospective 2025 DE applicants to be proactive by ensuring their awaiting results are uploaded immediately upon release. This will enhance their chances of securing admission.
Affected candidates are urged to visit any accredited CBT centre without delay to avoid missing out on their admission opportunities.
