NBTE Grants Approval to Commence 17 Additional Programmes for EKSPOLY, Isan-Ekiti; Now Offers 23 Programmes

In a landmark development, the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted approval to commence seventeen additional academic programmes for Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti, bringing the total number of programmes in the institution to twenty-three (23).
This cheering news was received with excitement by the Management, Staff, and Students of the institution, as it marks another major stride in the Polytechnic’s drive toward academic excellence and institutional expansion.
The newly approved programmes spanned National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) levels. Now, the courses offered by the institution are:
- ND Accountancy
- ND Agricultural Technology
- ND Electrical Electronics Engineering Technology
- ND Computer Science
- ND Bus.Administration
- ND Cooperative Economics
- ND Hospitality Management Technology
- ND Food Science and Technology
- ND Library Information Science
- ND Public Administration
- ND Statistics
- ND Science Laboratory Technology
- ND Computer Engineering
- HND Accountancy
- HND Artificial Intelligence
- HND Cybersecurity
- HND Software and Web Development
- HND Agric. Business
- HND Crop Production
- HND Fisheries Technology
- HND Agricultural Extension and Management
- HND Electrical Electronics (Power & Machine)
- HND Electrical Electronics (Telecommunication & Electronic option).
The Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Sunday Osinkolu Ajeigbe, described the approval as a dream come true and a product of tireless efforts by the academic and administrative teams.” He added that the institution is now better positioned to meet the educational needs of Nigeria’s teeming youth in cutting-edge and highly relevant fields of study.
The development also reaffirms Ekiti State Polytechnic’s growing reputation as a hub for technical and vocational education, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the country.
With this achievement, prospective students now have a wider range of options to choose from, while the institution continues its mission of nurturing skilled professionals and industry-ready graduates.
This feat comes at a time when the Polytechnic is steadily gaining momentum as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing institutions of higher learning.
