Sights and Sounds of the Inaugural Convocation Ceremony held at Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas

The inaugural convocation ceremony of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas Bonny, happened like a flash in a pan with an idea that was cultivated and executed in a swift action initiated by the man, Dr Victor Okolobah the Acting Rector of the institution. Hitherto, it was a herculean task that was not envisaged nor considered as a priority to give credence to the foundation and essence of the institution’s existence.
Where knowledge, experience and exposure are available to an individual, the possibilities of doing the impossible becomes imminent. Such is the tale of Dr Victor Okolobah who assumed office on the 20th of April, 2024 and his to do list was to have convocation done in August of 2024.
Virtually everyone doubted the authenticity of the idea and the possibility of pulling such a gigantic project through within that space of time. But when vision is anchored on preparedness in the space of opportunity, success is often the outcome. The rest is now history.
The 2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 sessions had a merged convocation ceremony which was a beauty to behold and a memory to cherish.
