SCHOOL FEE INCREMENT: YABATECH SUG DIRECTS STUDENTS TO SUSPEND PAYMENT

The student union government of Yaba College of Technology, Lagos state, has directed all new and returning students to suspend payment of school fees until further notice.

Comrade Philip Christian, the SUG president made this announcement on Wednesday 4th may 2022 following the release of 2021/2022 academic session approved school fees by the school management.

The student union urged the college students to comply with this directive for their demands to be met. According to a press statement by POLYTV:

“We are fully aware of the plight of our students as regards the sudden increase in the school fees of full-time students and we are not sleeping on this.

“In our bid to adequately tackle this interest of our students, we urge all students both and returning to refrain from making payments as doing that will be targeted at our efforts futile.

“The strength of the union in our unity join hands with us in this struggle to see to it that our demands are met and our welfarism remains paramount at all times.”
