OGITECH MOURNS A DEDICATED LECTURER

The Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, (OGITECH) community was thrown into mourning on Monday, March 24, 2025, with the sudden passing away of Mr. Babatunde Bangbose, a seasoned lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication.
In a show of solidarity and support, the Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, led a delegation of the Institute’s Management to pay a condolence visit to the bereaved family on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at their residence in Ijagba Road, Ota, Ogun State.
Dr. Oluseye described the late Bangbose as a “rare gem” and a dedicated staff member who had made significant contributions to the Institute, particularly as the Head of the Print Unit in the Department of Mass Communication. He praised Bangbose’s commitment to impacting lives, and his passion for teaching.
The Rector also pledged the Institute’s support to the family, including employment opportunity for the late Bangbose’s wife. The Acting Bursar, Mr. Abdulsalam Yunus, and the Dean of the School of Part-Time Studies, Dr. Sewanu Bankole, offered prayers during the visit.
Other members of the Management team who accompanied the Rector on the condolence visit included the Deputy Rector, Dr. Oluyemi Odutola FCA; the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Sakirat Olajumoke Johnson; Ag Librarian, Miss Eseoghene Udi; Deans of Schools; and the Head of the Mass Communication Department.
