OGITECH INAUGURATES IGBESA COMMUNITY FORUM

As part of the initiative to foster peaceful coexistence between the Institute and the host community, more importantly with the Students of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa. The Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, has inaugurated an all-inclusive forum as part of his vision towards the development of both community on Monday, 9th October, 2023.
The Rector charged the members of the forum to support the Institute in achieving his developmental goals in all areas. Doing this, both Institute and the host community can become a better place for everyone. Earlier before then, the Rector had approved the nomination of Alhaji S. O. Animashaun as the Chairman of the forum.
In the Chairman’s acceptance speech, Alhj Animashaun express his great pleasure in his appointment while extending his heartfelt gratitude to the Management of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa under the leadership of Dr. Abiodun Oluseye for the emergence of a well thought forum and for a carefully selection of worthy members to serve in the committee.
Alhj Animashaun further reiterated that “the security and peace of where we live should be paramount in our minds. Either advertently or inadvertently we make or mar the security and peace of our environment. Where there is qualitative and good education, there is security and peace. When the societal education is not on the threshold, the peace and security of lives and properties are threatened.”


Other members of the forum include different security agencies, market men and women, landlords, Community Development Association, the representative of the Oloja Ekun, Oba Abdulazeez Oluwatoyin Akinde FCA , the Students Union Executives and other stakeholders that have contact with the students in one way or the other.
While appreciating the selected members of the forum and the Oloja Ekun of Igbesaland, the Ag. Registrar of the Institute, Mrs. Sakirat Olajumoke Johnson, expressed her delight in the composition of the forum while charging the artisans and market men and women in Igbesa to upgrade themselves and be considerate in charges as the Management of the Institute is willing to patronize the reasonable and reliable artisans to ensure that they benefit from the existence of the Polytechnic in Igbesaland.
