OGITECH BANS CLEARANCE SIGNING BY STUDENTS

Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa (OGITECH), has announced the discontinuation of manual clearance signing by students for result or certificate collection.
In a statement released by the Institute’s Acting Registrar, Mrs. Sakirat Olajumoke Johnson, on Thursday, 10th of April, 2025, the Management cited the need to curb unnecessary extortion of students in the name of clearance and enhance transparency and accountability within the Institute.
The Management of OGITECH has also introduced automated clearance process for its graduates to drastically reduce the incidence of interference and involvement by agents and other third parties in the process.
Clearance applicants are now required to make necessary payments through the Institute’s portal www.ogitech.edu.ng, and proceed to the Exams and Records unit for collection.
This new directive is to complement the effort of OGITECH’s Management under the leadership of Dr. Abiodun Babatunde Oluseye as part of his transformative agenda to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and integrity in the system.
The Management also warned students against contracting the clearance process to unscrupulous individuals, stating that they will not be liable for any consequences.
The decision was taken to relieve students of unnecessary stress in the current economic climate and maintain discipline within the institution.
The new directive is expected to take effect immediately, and students are encouraged to comply to avoid any inconvenience.
