NUC Teams Arrive UNILAG for Accreditation of Insurance and MBA Programmes

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has been commended for its periodic review of programmes across tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services) of the University of Lagos, Professor Lucian O. Chukwu gave the commendation on Monday, November 13, 2023, when two accreditation teams of the Commission paid a courtesy call on the institution’s leadership.
The delegations, currently in the University for the accreditation of the B.Sc in Insurance and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) programmes, were led to the Conference Room of the Vice-Chancellor by the Director, Academic Planning, Professor Mathew Olusoji Ilori.
Professor Chukwu received the teams along with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics & Research), Professor Bola Oboh; and Acting Registrar, Mrs. Olakunle Makinde. He reiterated the importance of the accreditation exercise as a quality assurance process to ensure compliance with NUC’s operational standard.


The leaders of the two delegations: Professor B F Nwinee and Paul Mbaya, in separate remarks, described their assignments as a simple task of evaluating the standards of the programmes offered by the University.
They acknowledged the University’s warm reception since their arrival, and assured of a viable accreditation exercise.
