Lists of The Courses Offered In Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) Zaria, and Their School Fees

The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, (formerly known as Nigerian Civil Aviation Training Center) was set up by Act. No 31 of 1964 (as amended), to conduct:

  1. Civil Aviation courses for use in flight training or airport operations & management as may be prescribed from time to time.
  1. Training of approved persons in the installation, maintenance and operation, as the case may be, of technical equipment, the use of which is calculated or likely to increase the margin of operational safety of civil aircrafts.
  1. Training on equipment and necessary facilities for technical research or normal use.

The vision and mission of the institution is to maintain the prestigious position of the foremost aviation training institution in Africa and be amongst the best in the world. To consistently provide the aviation industry with professionals and other personnel through training and related services for safe transportation in accordance with international standards

National Diploma (ND) Programme

Below are the lists of the courses Offered in Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT)

  • Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology

Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technology (Airframe/ Power plant option)
  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technology (Avionics option)
  • Aviation Management
  • Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Programmes
  • Aviation Management
  • Air Traffic Safety Electronics Engineering

NCAT SCHOOL FEES 

  • NDI – 5 million Naira
  • NDII – 3 million Naira
  • HNDI – 7.5 million naira
  • HNDII – 4 million Naira 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

NCAT Diploma Programme

  1. A minimum of WASC/GCE/NECO/SSCE or its equivalent with at least five Credits which must include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language

National Diploma (ND) Programme

  1. A minimum of WASC/GCE/NECO/SSCE NTC “O” Level with at least five Credits which must include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language.
  1. Minimum JAMB scores for polytechnics (180.) For candidates who have met the above JAMB score but did not select NCAT as their choice are eligible to apply.

Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes

  1. Candidates must possess a National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit Pass (CGPA of 2.50 and above) in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Aircraft Engineering Technology and a minimum of one year Post ND cognate working experience.
  1. Candidates must possess a National Diploma in Aviation Management/Business Administration/ Public Administration with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and a minimum of one-year cognate working experience.

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA

  1. Air Traffic Safety Electronics Engineering
  1. Candidates must possess BSc or HND in Electrical/Electronic, or NCAT Diploma and Professional Licence or its equivalent.
