Iwo City Polytechnic is a private polytechnic approved by the Federal Government and the institution is Accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). The Polytechnic is also listed by Joint Admission and Matriculation Board.

The Polytechnic has been producing candidates at National Diploma level in various accredited programmes. Successful completion of the Diploma program affords the diplomats to either the HND program of Polytechnics or 200 Level of Universities.
