LASUSTECH Shut Down School Over Student Death

The Lagos State University of Science and Technology, Ikorodu has shut down its international secondary school over the death of a student.
According to report, the deceased student and his mates had practicals in the school Laboratory where he( the deceased) opened a chemical and caused an asthmatic attack on one of his mates that happens to be an asthma patient.
He was sent out of the school and was told to bring in his parents which he failed to do and with the aim of punishing him he ran out of the school premises because a teacher was chasing him.
Unfortunately, he was hit by a car while trying to run away from the teacher who was Chasing him.
According to an eyewitness, the teacher took a bike in front of the school to chase the boy with a cane in his hand which made the boy run into a moving car and died.

The school management has however shut down the school, adding that students will be engaged online through e-learning till further notice.
“In view of the unfortunate incident that recently occurred at Lagos State University of Science and Technology International Secondary School (LISS) which claimed the life of a student, the Management of Lagos State University of Science and Technology wishes to inform the general public that the School has been closed forthwith..
“During this period, Students will be engaged with on-line learning. The period of closure will be used to restructure and reposition the School.”
