KWASSA President Urges Urgent Action on Rising Insecurity in Kwara South, Commends Governor Abdulrazak

The National President of the Kwara South Students Association (KWASSA), Senator Adeshina Abubakar Ayoola, has applauded the efforts of Governor Abdulraman Abdulrazak in addressing insecurity in Kwara State, but called for immediate intensified action in Kwara South.
Senator Ayoola’s appeal follows a recent attack in Ekiti Local Government Area on November 18, 2025, highlighting the growing concerns over security in Ekiti and Igbomina Land.
In a statement released by KWASSA, the association urged the state government, local government chairmen, security agencies, and all stakeholders to implement urgent measures to curb the rising incidents of violence.
“We appreciate the efforts of His Excellency, Gov. Abdulraman Abdulrazak, in tackling insecurity in Kwara State. However, we urge him to do more, as the situation demands urgent attention,” Senator Ayoola said.
KWASSA is calling for enhanced security patrols, active community engagement, and support for victims of attacks. The association also appealed to residents of Kwara South to remain calm and united while efforts to combat the menace continue.
Senator Ayoola concluded by emphasizing that coordinated action is critical to ensuring safety and stability in the region.
