Kogi State Polytechnic Begins 2025/2026 Post-UTME Screening Registration

Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has officially announced the commencement of its Post-UTME screening registration for the 2025/2026 academic session. According to a statement released by the Office of the Registrar, the registration exercise will begin on Wednesday, 16th July 2025 and close on Wednesday, 20th August 2025.
The screening is open to candidates who selected Kogi State Polytechnic as their institution of choice in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 100.
Programmes Available for Application
Prospective students can apply for various National Diploma (ND) programmes across the Polytechnic’s schools, including:
- School of Agricultural Technology: Agricultural Technology, Animal Health and Production Technology, Horticultural Technology.
- School of Applied Sciences: Computer Science, Science Laboratory Technology, Statistics.
- School of Art, Design and Printing: Art & Design, Fashion Design & Clothing Technology, Printing Technology.
- School of Engineering Technology: Agricultural & Bio-Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Foundry Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral & Petroleum Resources Engineering.
- School of Environmental Technology: Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Surveying & Geo-Informatics, Urban & Regional Planning.
- School of General and Communication Studies: Mass Communication.
- School of Management Studies: Accountancy, Business Administration, Library & Information Science, Office Technology & Management, Public Administration.
Who Is Eligible?
To qualify for the screening, applicants must:
- Have selected Kogi State Polytechnic as their preferred institution in the 2025 UTME with a minimum score of 100.
- Possess at least five O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- Ensure their UTME subject combinations align with the requirements for their chosen course.
- Candidates awaiting O’Level results may also apply but must indicate their status during registration.
- Provide a functional phone number, a valid email address, and their National Identification Number (NIN).
The Polytechnic noted that details regarding the screening process will be communicated to candidates through SMS and email using the contacts provided during registration.
How to Apply
Interested and eligible candidates are required to:
- Visit the official Polytechnic website at www.kogistatepolytechnic.edu.ng or the application portal at https://portal.kogistatepolytechnic.edu.ng.
- Click on “Apply Now” and complete the registration.
- Pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₦2,000 only.
- Fill out the online application form correctly and upload the required documents.
- Candidates who have previously started registration can log in with their username and password to complete or update their application.
Applicants are strongly advised to use accurate information during registration as any falsification will lead to automatic disqualification.
The institution further warned that it does not employ any agents for the registration exercise and cautioned candidates against engaging third parties to avoid falling victim to fraud.
