Kaduna Polytechnic Governing Council Host Alumni National and State Executives

The Governing Council of the Kaduna Polytechnic on Monday 28th November, 2022 hosted National and State Executives of the Alumni.
The Council Chairman Senator Mohammed Mohammed in his remarks welcome the Executives and that he was happy with the calibre of leadership at the National and State Branches of the Alumni.
Senator Mohammed said the institution is in serious need of contribution from the Alumni members of the institution just as it happens in other prominent institutions. He urged the participants to take a tour to the campuses to see for themselves the decaying infrastructures that needs the attention of the Alumni in terms of renovation, reconstruction etc. He however, handed over the session to Hajiya Fatima Kudu, a Council Member who is the Chairlady of Advocacy and Fund Raising Committee.
The Chairlady Haija Fati Kudu said the reason the Council called the meeting was to liase with the Alumni to see how to reach out to the prominent members that will contribute to the needs of the institution because the premier Kaduna Polytechnic has made name, people and the school is yet to utilize the potentials of her prominent members.
The Council in collaboration with Alumni will also organize a Gala Night where individual(s) and Corporate Organizations that contribute/contributing to the development of the school will be celebrated.
The National President of the Alumni Hon. Abba Anas Adamu called the attention of the State Executives to the eleven points agenda of Alumni of which infrastructural development is one of the key items in the agenda.
Hon. Anas said government can not do it alone and the need to call the attention of our prominent members to contribute at their various capacities.
After exhaustive discussions from the Chairmen of the State Branches, the following recommendations were made;
1. The State Branches should submit details of their prominent individuals in two weeks time.
2. A joint Committee be constituted to reach out to identified prominent members
3. Corporate Organizations be contacted to consider the school in their Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR)
4. Special Convocation be organized to Award those that contribute to the development of the institution.
5. The interaction with the State Branches be sustained.
6. The date of the Gala Night be decided by the Council in due course.
The meeting was adjourned after a special prayers wishing all the participants journey mercy to their various destinations.
