INSECURITY: OSUN POLY MGT ADVISE STUDENTS

Following the state of insecurity ravaging the nation, The Management of osun state polytechnic Iree has advised her students not to stay late at night before they return to their various hostels and residence.
This was contained in a circular dated 15th June 2022, the school management stressed that students should not stay late at night beyond 10pm.
The circular reads, ” Further to the security report at the Town and Gown meeting held on Tuesday, 14th June, 2022 at Iree Town Hall, it has come to the notice of the Management that some students of the Institution have cultivated habit of staying out late and be roaming about the street at night in Iree community…..
“In view of the above and considering security challenges in the country, all students are hereby directed not to stay late before they return to their residence in the night. For the avoidance of doubt, no student should stay beyond 10:00pm before returning to his/her various hostel…..
“I am to add that students are to ensure strict compliance with this directive. Erring student risks being apprehended by the security agents and be subsequently charged for appropriate criminal offence(s)…..
“You are hereby warned accordingly and that this memo should be given widest publicity its deserves.”
