I.T certificate: NBTE Issues an Important Directive to all Polytechnic Students

Subject: Mandatory Update on Industrial Training (IT) Certificates
Dear Students,
This is to inform all students that due to observed negligence and non-compliance, many have refused to complete the mandatory one-year Industrial Training (IT). This has led to an increase in the use of unauthorized or forged certificates. To address this, the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has introduced a standardized IT certificate format, which all tertiary institutions are required to adopt.
Action Required:
1. All students who previously collected IT certificates must return them to the SIWES unit to exchange for the newly designed, NBTE-compliant certificate.
2. This update is mandatory for those proceeding to NYSC Camp, as only the newly issued certificates will be recognized for clearance.
Please ensure compliance to avoid any delays or complications in your academic and professional progression.
