Gombe State University (GSU) Academic Calendar for the 2022/2023 Academic session

This is to inform all students of Gombe State University and the general public that the school authority has announced the resumption of academic activities for the 2022/2023 academic session. Academic Calendar for first and second semester has been released.

All students are to resume for the first semester on Tuesday 13th June 2023. First semester academic activities and lectures will start from Monday 19th June 2023 to Saturday 5th August 2023.

First semester 2022/2023 examination will commence from Monday 9th October to Saturday 28th October 2023.

Second semester 2022/2023 academic session will commence on Sunday 5th November 2023.

Registration and lectures for the second semester will commence from Monday 6th November to Saturday 23rd Dec 2023.

Below are the details of the academic calendar for the second semester 2022/2023 academic session.

2	19^th June – 5^th August 2023	7weeks lecture
3	7^th – 26^th August 2023	3 weeks mid-semester break

4	28^th August – 7^th October 2023	6 weeks lectures
5	9^th – 28^th October 2023	3weeks examination
6	30^th October – 4^th November 2023	1 week of semester break

SECOND SEMESTER 2022/2023

7	5^th November 2023	Student resumption on campus
8	6^th November – 23^rd December 2023	7 weeks lectures
9	25^th December – 6^th January 2024	2weeks mid-semester break
10	8^th January – 17^th February 2024	6weeks lectures

11	19^th February – 9^th March 2024	3weeks examination
12	19^th February -23^rd march 2024	5 weeks for marking/ compilation
13	25^th – 30^th March 2024	Faculty/departmental board
14	1^st – 6^th April 2024	SBC/senate meeting
15	8^th – 27^th April 2024	3weeks break/leave
