FOOD TECH 1999 ALUMNI DONATES MULTI MEDIA EQUIPMENT TO DEPARTMENT
The 1999 graduates of the department of Food Technology of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro has donated multi media aids and equipment worth millions of naira to the Multi-media Center created to facilitate improved curriculum delivery in the Department.
The equipment so far donated, according to the Head of Department, Mr. O. M. Makanju, included;
- Forty-eight modern conference chairs
- One Hp core i3 4g 1trb Laptop
- One 4000 Lumens Projector and Cable
- One Electric Motorized Screen
- One Long Coffee Table
- One Hp all in 1 Printer
- Projection Ceiling Mount and
- One modern stool
Donating the equipment, the leader of the set, Mr John Adekunle OLAYIWOLA, the General Manager, Friesland Campina WAPCO Plc, Ikeja, Lagos. said that they felt that their department deserved even better from them, taken into consideration the quantum of academic and moral values impacted in them.
Receiving the equipment on behalf of the Rector, the Deputy Rector, Engr. (Mrs) I K Ogunfayo was full of praises for the gesture, adding that other former students of the Polytechnic should emulate these gestures toward the development of their Alma Matta.
In his welcome address, the Head of Department, Mr Makanju said he was pleasantly suprised by their gesture, urging and hoping that current students will learn from them that it pays to give back to the source.
Present at the presentation, alongside the Deputy Rector were the Dean, School of Pure and Applied Science, Dr. (Mrs) R. T. Oyede, staff, students and about twenty other members of the 1999 set of graduates of Food Technology department of the institution.
