FIRST CONGRESS MEETING BETWEEN STAFF AND MEMBERS OF THE NEWLY CONSTITUTED GOVERNING COUNCIL OF THE FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC OF OIL AND GAS .
The meeting was held on the 17th of August, 2021. Before the meeting, members of the Council did a wholistic tour of the facilities in the Polytechnic.
The Rector, Prof. T. M. Abbey, who was filled with joy, thanked members of the Council led by the Chairman, Mr. Adedayo Adebayo, for coming to visit the institution, not minding the peculiar location. While reeling out his achievements since assumption of office as the Rector of the Polytechnic, Prof. Abbey admonished the staff to continue to be diligent in their duties. He promised not to relent in his efforts until the school is taken to the height it deserves.
The Chairman of Council, Mr. Adedayo Adebayo, informed the staff that the purpose of the visit of members of the Council was to get acquainted with the management and staff and to work in synergy with the management to enhance the development and status of the Polytechnic. The Chairman further promised to ensure the correction of any observed anomalies.
Members of staff took turns to ask questions, some also sort clarification on certain issues affecting them.
