Final Clarification on NYSC Mobilization for Polytechnic Graduates
Final Clarification on NYSC Mobilization for Polytechnic Graduates

The Federal Government has provided a final clarification on the mobilization of polytechnic graduates for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The new directive confirms that all Higher National Diploma (HND) full-time graduates are now eligible for NYSC, regardless of their National Diploma (ND) study mode.
Key Points from the Update:
- HND Full-Time Graduates Eligible for NYSC
- All HND full-time graduates will be mobilized for NYSC, even if they completed their ND through a part-time program.
- No Discrimination Against ND Part-Time Graduates
- ND part-time students who later pursued HND full-time are now eligible for NYSC. Their ND study mode will no longer affect their mobilization.
- HND Part-Time Graduates Ineligible
- HND part-time students will not be mobilized for NYSC. The part-time HND program is primarily designed for working-class individuals, who will instead receive an exclusion letter.
- JAMB Regularization Halted
- The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has stopped the regularization process as of 2024.
- “P” Registration Number Issue Resolved
- Graduates with “P” on their registration number will still be eligible for NYSC, as long as they completed an HND full-time program.
Eligibility Breakdown:
- ND Part-Time + HND Full-Time = Eligible
- ND Part-Time + HND Part-Time = Not Eligible
- ND Full-Time + HND Full-Time = Eligible
- ND Full-Time + HND Part-Time = Not Eligible
Clarification on HND Evening Programs
While only HND full-time graduates are officially eligible, some polytechnics still mobilize evening students for NYSC. Affected students should contact their institutions to confirm their status.
This 9jaPolyTv aims to eliminate confusion and ensure that eligible graduates are properly mobilized.
