FEDPOFFA: Building Tech. Inducts Fresh Graduates into NIOB

…Holds maiden induction in grand style
The Building Technology Department of The Federal Polytechnic Offa has inducted 2021/2022 graduands of the department into the professional body of Nigeria Institute of Building ( NIOB).
The maiden induction of the department is the first of its kind in the Polytechnic which will avail the students the opportunity to be members of the professional body.
Speaking at the induction ceremony, the Acting Rector, Mr. Eghe Igbinehi represented by the Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Arowosegbe commended the department for granting the students the rare opportunity and pedestal to move forward in their careers. He charged other departments to emulate the precept entrenched by Building Technology.
While the Registrar, Mr. Gabriel Soko represented by Deputy Registrar Council Affairs, Mrs. Ronke Adeshina commended the department for its great feats. She added that the Polytechnic management will offer a letter of commendation to the department to encourage other departments to embrace the idea.

Speaking on the theme, Bldr M.A Kolawole charged the inductees to embrace professionalism and work in line with the ethics of the profession. She talked about the career benefits of joining a professional association early and congratulated the graduands on their induction into the technologist cadre of the Nigerian Institute of Building.
The Acting Head of the Department, Bldr. Aliyu thanked the Polytechnic Management for creating an enabling environment for teaching and learning. He commended the Kwara State Chapter of the Nigeria Institute of Building led by Bldr. Opoola for its cooperation and support for the Department to achieve the first professional induction in the history of the Building Department.
