Federal Polytechnic Ilaro (ILARO POLY) Academic Calendar for the 2024/2025 Session
This is to inform all students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, and the general public that the school authority has announced the resumption of academic activities for the 2024/2025 academic session and released the approved academic calendar for the session.

According to the approved academic calendar, the first semester of the 2024/2025 session begins on Sunday, 17th November 2024.

Registration will commence for fresh and returning students on Monday, 18th November 2024.

Lectures will commence for all full-time and part-time students, excluding NDII students, on Monday, 16th December 2024.

The resumption date for all NDII students is Monday, 19th January 2025.

First semester 2024/2025 examinations will begin on Monday, 24th March, and end on Friday, 11th April 2025.

The second semester of the 2024/2025 academic session will commence on Sunday, 20th April 2025.

Lectures for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic session will begin on Monday, 21st April 2025.

Second semester 2024/2025 examinations for all students will begin on Monday, 4th August, and end on Friday, 22nd August 2025.

5	Resumption of NDII students both full-time and part-time	13^th January 2025

6	Orientation for new students	11^th February 2025
7	Matriculation ceremony	12^th February 2025
8	Publication of 1^st semester examination timetable	17^th February 2025
9	Convocation ceremony	19^th February 2025
10	Lectures end for all students	14^th March 2025
11	Lectures free week for all students	17^th – 21^st March 2025
12	1^st semester 2024/2025 examination for all students	24^th March – 11^th April 2025
13	2^nd semester begins	20^th April 2025

SECOND SEMESTER 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION

1	2ND semester begins	20^th April 2025
2	Lectures begin for all students	21^st April 2025
3	Publication of 2^nd semester 2024/2025 examination timetable	19^th May 2025
4	Lectures end for all students	18^th July 2025
5	SUG week	21^st – 25^th May 2025
6	Lecture free week	28^th July – 1^st August 2025

7	2^nd semester 2024/2025 examination for all students	4^th – 22^nd august 2025
8	Memorial lecture	14^th August 2025
9	Commencement of SIWES	25^th august – 22^nd December 2025
10	Script marking	25^th August – 12^th September 2025
11	Consideration of results	15^th – 26^th September 2025
12	Academic staff leave	19^th September – 31^st October 2025
