Federal Polytechnic Bida (BIDA POLY) Academic Calendar for the 2024/2025 Session

This is to inform all students of the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Niger State, and the general public that the management of the institution has announced the resumption of academic activities for the 2024/2025 academic session, following the release of the approved academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session.

The Polytechnic will resume for the 2024/2025 academic session on Monday, 11th November 2024, with registration for new and returning students commencing on the same date.

Lectures will begin for all students, including SIWES students, on Monday, 6th January 2025.

The orientation program for fresh students will take place on Wednesday, 12th February 2025, followed by the matriculation ceremony on Friday, 14th February 2025.

The first semester examinations for the 2024/2025 session will start on Monday, 7th April 2025.

The second semester for the 2024/2025 academic session will commence on Monday, 19th April 2025.

The second semester examinations will begin on Monday, 25th August 2025.

November 2024

Monday 11^th	Registration/renewal of association of clubs at student affairs
Monday 11^th <	Registration begins for new and returning students
Wednesday 13^th	Statutory academic board meeting
Monday 25^th	Department board meeting
Tuesday 26^th	School board meeting
Wednesday 27^th & Thursday 28^th	Academic board security council meeting

DECEMBER 2024

MONDAY 2^ND	Department board meeting
TUESDAY 3^RD	School board meeting
WEDNSDAY 4^TH	Academic board security council meeting
MONDAY 9^TH	Commencement of academic staff annual leave

JANUARY 2025

Friday 3^rd	End of SIWES for 2023/2024 academic session
Saturday 5^th	All students arrive campus including SIWES students
Monday 6^th	Academic staff resume back from annual leave
Monday 6^th	Lectures begins for all students including SIWES students
Monday 6^th	Submission of application for registration /renewal of students association and clubs to student affairs division
Monday 13^th	Department board meeting
Tuesday 14^th	School board meeting
Wednesday 15^th and Thursday 16^th	Academic board results scrutiny meeting
Wednesday 22^nd	Academic board meeting

FEBRURARY 2025

Monday 10^th	Late Registration begins
