Federal Government Announces a New Date for School Resumption

Following the postponement of the gubernatorial and state assembly elections from Saturday, March 11, to Sunday, March 18, 2023 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the federal government has announced a fresh resumption date for Nigerian students.
The new resumption date applies to all federal polytechnics, federal universities, and other colleges across the country.
According to Education Minister Adamu Adamu, “All institutions are to remain closed until March 20, 2023.”
Students are to resume on Monday, March 20 2023, as directed by the Federal Ministry of Education.
All federal polytechnics will resume on March 20, 2023. However, state polytechnic students are to wait for further directives from their respective school management.
