FCE Umunze Provost Receives NANS Zone F Executives

The Provost, Federal College of Education, Umunze, Anambra state, Dr Tessy Okoli, on Tuesday, 9th August, 2022 received the executives of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone F during their familiarization visit to the College.
The Provost congratulated the newly elected executives on their emergence and urged them to be worthy ambassadors of the students’ body. She admonished them to always be steadfast in their quest to seek better ways to improve the welfare of students.
The Provost expressed the preparedness of her administration to give deserved attention to issues affecting students of the College. She recalled her early days as Dean, Students Affairs, noting that the position gave her a keen insight on issues affecting students. She noted that the College Management has remained students friendly, adding that preparations have been set in place for a peaceful conduct of the SUG election in the College after the suspension of the COEASU strike.
Speaking earlier, Comrade Ernest Okafor, Financial Secretary of NANS Zone F, who led the delegation congratulated the Provost on her second tenure reappointment, describing it as proof of good leadership. He said the familiarisation visit was part of the efforts to formally identify with the College, and efficiently project issues affecting students.
He said the newly elected zone F executives of the association would continue to work closely with the College to ensurr peaceful students relationship with the Management.
He commended the College Management for repositioning the College for development in academics and infrastructure.
Present at the meeting were the Deputy Provost, Dr Christopher Ugwuogo, the Registrar, Mrs Bessie Nkah and the Bursar, Comrade Ethelbert Echedo.
