FCE Umunze Provost Commissions New Projects at Main Campus

To boost research and learning in the College, the Provost, Federal College of Education Umunze, Dr Tessy Okoli on Thursday, 27th October, 2022, commissioned the newly completed Research Development Centre building at the Main Campus of the College.
Dr Okoli noted that improving the quality of infrastructure and moving education forward was everyone’s responsibility, while describing the new facility as an effort by her administration towards improving the ranking of the institution in research.
The Provost accompanied by her Management team, also commissioned and handed over for use, the newly renovated School of Science Complex.
Other projects commissioned for use was the Solar Minigrid powering the entire female hostel. According to the Provost, the students could now experience learning and teaching in a safer, cleaner and more conducive academic environment.


Shortly after the commissioning of the solar light, students living in the College hostel were seen jubilating and thanking the Provost for what they described as a wonderful experience as they would no longer experience power outage, especially during their exams and study times.
