Before Ending A Relationship, Please Read This:
1. Rewind to the times when you used to talk to each other all day, every day without getting bored of each other’s company.
2. Rewind to the times when you wiped each other’s tears, when you hugged their problems and made all those promises.
3. Go back to the first time you met them. Remember the first time they made you smile.
4. Relive all the sacrifices, the laughs, the tears, the happiness, the memories.
5. Did that make you smile now?
6. Now think about it, do you really want this relationship to end?
7. Is your bond that worthless? Are you sure you want to lose this person?
8. Remember, it is very easy to give up.
9. But to sit down and talk things through, to want to fix everything together needs courage. Please, don’t give up yet.
10. Don’t ever let your ego kill a beautiful relationship because it takes a lot of efforts to invest yourself into someone.
You can’t let it all go in the blink of an eye.
8 questions to ask yourself before Ending a relationship
1. Have you regularly and clearly asked for what you need or are you expecting them read your mind?
2. Are the problems you are facing constant and repetitive? Are there significantly more bad times than good times?
3. What are your particular patterns, traits or difficult behaviours that may be harming the relationship?
4. Are your long-term goals aligned? Do you both still want and value the same things? Do you support & encourage each other in your individual dreams?
5. Is the feeling of wanting to leave circumstantial/ based on something short-term/ that may be resolved? Or is the feeling based on something fundamental uncompromisable?
6. Are both of you willing to take responsibility and work on the relationship? Have attempts to fix things in the past worked?
7. Can you accept the other person as they are, if they never changed?
8. Are you constantly judged or criticised? When something horrible happens, do you feel afraid to tell them? Can you freely be yourself around them?
