ASUP Set to Proceed On Indefinite Strike

The Academic staff union of polytechnics (ASUP) has said that they are fully ready to proceed on indefinite strike as Nigerian government isn’t serious with negotiations.
ASUP chairman, Dr Exeibe said this in an interview on Monday.
The meeting with Federal government didn’t hold today 9th May as the polytechnic lecturers insist government must do the needful and void giving excuses.
Some of the union demands are 15bn revitalization fund, payment of arrears salary amongst others.
POLYTV gathered that, ASUP Council of National officers will meet On Tuesday 10th May while the National Executive council meeting will hold on Wednesday 11th May as the outcome of these meetings would determine whether or not to proceed on the planned strike.

Moreso, the Chairman of ASUP, Auchi Polytechnic Chapter, Mr Lawani Jimoh assured that the Auchi chapter would comply with the strike.
