Applicants Can Apply For Bida Poly Admission Using Awaiting Result- SUG

The Student Union government (SUG) of the federal polytechnic, BIDA, Niger State, has clarified that the National diploma graduates of 2017/2018 sesison are eligible to apply for Higher National Diploma admission form using awaiting result if they want to continue studying in the polytechnic.
The union said this in a press statement released last week and below are the highlights.
Following the press release on 15/10/2020 prompting out various questions from students, there is need to make clarifications on the followings:
1- On the issue of SIWES:
All SIWES students are expected to resume December 5th 2020 as lectures will commence December 7th 2020.
Those who couldn’t do their SIWES because of Covid-19 pandemic are expected to download a new SIWES form via the school portal and start their SIWES from 22/10/2020 to 05/12/2020.
Those who were able to do their SIWES and fill their Log book during the Covid-19 lockdown are not to do it anymore but they are to wait for their supervisors at their various place of SIWES for supervision and checking of Log book.
2- On the issue of Project:
All 2017/2018 ND 2 and HND 2 Students who are yet to round up their project work before COVID-19 break are to start submitting their projects from 26/10/2020.
Considering the fact that a lot of time has been wasted already, all Graduating HND 2 Students are to note that the Students Union Government was able to liaise with the Academic Board to grant a waiver for external defense but it must also be noted that defense of project is one of the prerequisite for granting HND certificates, reasons why the internal defense is arranged to breach the gap. We hereby appeal to those affected to bear with us and also pray for a smooth journey as they will be traveling down to Bida.
All project defense for 2017/2018 ND2 and HND2 is expected to be completed on or before 31/10/2020.
All the graduating students should please take note.
3- All 2017/2018 ND2 Graduates who wish to apply for HND are advised to use awaiting results.
Those who applied are to upload their results immediately results are out. This is for admission consideration.
