AKWAPOLY SUG PRESIDENT MEETS EMC CHAIRMAN

The Students Union Government (SUG) President, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Comrade Offiong Kofi Asuquo in company of some of his Executives today met with the Examination Monitoring committee (EMC) Chairman, Dr. Eno John to interact with him on issues bordering on students as it pertains to the ongoing first semester examinations.
He commended the EMC Chairman for being very proactive in the discharge of his duties which has so far boost the reading culture of students and ensure readiness for each examination.
Comrade Kofi used the occasion to intercede on behalf of students whose phones and other items were confiscated in the course of the mandatory examination searches and promised to cautioned others against such repeats.
The EMC Chairman commended the SUG President for being very proactive in students matters since assumption of office. He mandated him to caution the students on the need to adhere to school rules of not coming to the examination hall with phones or any other item aside their writing materials. He accepted to look into his request and give favorable reply soonest.
The Dean, Students Affairs, Mr. Emmanuel Umoh who was also present urged the executives to sensitize the students on examination malpractice as anyone caught will face the wrath of the school laws.
In the light of this, Students whose phones and other items were confiscated are adviced to send a direct message containing their Name, Department, Level and Phone Number via sms or WhatsApp to 08054932242 as a first step in claiming their phones.
