AKPOLY DEPUTY RECTOR PLAYS HOST TO THE STUDENTS’ UNION GOVERNMENT EXCO

… Deputy rector pledges unflinching support to the Union

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) President, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Comr. Emmanuel Udonkwo, led a delegation of his executive on a familiarization visit to the Deputy Rector of the institution, Engr (Dr). Okon Osung.

Speaking, Comr. Udonkwo, described the visit as such aimed at identifying with Engr. Osung, and to also seek his counsel in order to have a smooth tenure.

Udonkwo, lamented the plights faced by the union and the students of the Polytechnic at large, soliciting for management’s intervention. He prayed God for his infinite blessings upon the deputy rector, while pledging to work with the management for the betterment of the Polytechnic.

Responding, the Deputy Rector, Engr. Osung, expressed satisfaction at the visitation, what he described as a divine blessings.

His words: “I am grateful to almighty God for the great things he has done in our lives. Let me start by congratulating you people once again, though the election was cumbersome, but God saw you all through.

“We as a management of the institution, it was our promised to work with whosoever emerged and to God be the glory you and your team became the winner and today you can attest to that fact.

“I want to charge you people to carry other students along, because they entrusted you with their mandate; so as to aid you administration have a smooth landing. And also, sensitize the students on the reasons to shun indecent dressing, examination malpractices, cultism and other social devices, rather, encourage them to be focused and distinctive with their studies”.

The SUG President, Comr. Udonkwo, joined Dr. Abasiono Okon, Comr. Ekanem Utibe Jnr and other Student leaders to grace the one-day workshop and official unveiling of Pet Project, organized by the Mbopo Ibibio Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Mbopo Eunice Edet.
