ADESEUN OGUNDOYIN POLY CONGREGATION ELECTS COUNCIL,BOARD OF STUDIES REPRESENTATIVES

The congregation of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa,Oyo State on Wednesday,30th September,2020 elected the Institution Congregation Representatives in the Governing Council of the institution.

The keenly contested election had six contestants among level 14 and above officers of graduate staff of the institution.

The contestants and the votes scored were:

Adebayo Timothy, Adefemi- 17 votes

Ogunyemi Johnson Olusola- 78 votes

Oladeni Samuel Kehinde- 80 votes

Lawal Taofeek Ajibola- 44 votes

Oladeji Kabeer Olakunle- 33 votes

Babalola Alao E. A- 18 votes

At the final count of the ballots,Mr Oladeni Samuel Kehinde and Mr Ogunyemi Johnson Olusola,the two candidates with the highest number of votes cast were declared winners and elected as the two statutory elected members of the Congregation to become the Governing Council members.

Similarly,the congregation elected their representatives in the Board of Studies,the institution SENATE. According to the statutory dictates,six congregation members should represent the congregation in the Board of Studies (BOS).

In this election,ten contestants vied for the six seats. The contestants and the votes scored were:

Alabi John Adejare- 100 votes

Adedokun Solomon Olugbade- 87 votes

Adedoja Muhydeen Adekunle- 96 votes

Araromi Adekunle Ademola- 106 votes

Aremu Adebayo Abayomi- 90 votes

Adejuwon Samuel Oluyemi- 72 votes

Sonubi Tajudeen Adegboyega- 70 votes

Mustapha Musiliu Raji- 59 votes

Taiwo Olufemi Oyebamiji- 35 votes

Adegbenjo Adewale Oladapo- 75 votes

The rule is that the six contestants with highest number of votes would be declared winners.

Therefore,

* Alabi John Adejare

* Adedokun Solomon Olugbade

* Adedoja Muhydeen Adekunle

* Araromi Adekunle Ademola

* Aremu Adebayo Abayomi

* Adegbenjo Adewale Oladapo; with highest number of valid votes were declared elected as Board of Studies Representatives.

Now,the Council membership of the institution is complete. The honourable members of the Governing Council are:

2. Alh. Musilumi Oyedemi- Member

3. Barr. Segun Adebayo- Member

4. Mrs Alice Adedokun- Member

5. Mr Wazir Adekunle- Member

7. P. S Ministry of Education- Member

8. P. S Ministry of Finance- Member

9. Rector- Member

10. Mr Ogunyemi J. Olusola- Member

11. Mr Oladeni S. Kehinde- Member

12. Registrar- Secretary to Council

And accordingly,the tenure of office of the congregation Representatives and Board of Studies Representatives is 2years.

For this period of 2years,these elected representatives will use their wealth of experience and expertise to advance the present level of the institution to higher and enviable heights of progress and development.
