The atmosphere was filled with excitement and pride as Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba—formerly known as Abia State Polytechnic—held its 31st matriculation ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The event marked a significant milestone for newly admitted students into both the National Diploma (ND 1) and Higher National Diploma (HND 1) programmes. Dressed in their academic gowns, the freshers took the matriculation oath, officially becoming members of the institution.
In his address, the Rector congratulated the new students and encouraged them to remain focused and committed to their academic journey. He also reminded them of the institution’s core values, urging them to be good ambassadors of the polytechnic.
Congratulations to all ND 1 and HND 1 students of Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic on this memorable occasion. The matriculation not only marks the beginning of their academic pursuits but also a new chapter in their personal and professional development.
