FEDPOFFA, Ede Poly, Niger Poly, Others Shine on Day 2 of NIPOGA 2025

Day 2 of the 22nd NIPOGA Games, tagged IJAKADI OFFA 2024, saw a series of impressive wins as top-performing polytechnics made strong statements on the pitch.
In the female football matches, Federal Polytechnic Offa (FEDPOFFA) delighted home fans with a dominant 4-0 victory over Abia State Polytechnic (ABIAPOLY). The win puts FEDPOFFA in a solid position moving forward in the tournament.
Federal Polytechnic Bauchi (FPTB) also secured a 2-0 win against Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic (HUKPOLY), while Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke (OSCOTECH) beat Rufus Giwa Polytechnic (RUGIPO) with the same 2-0 margin.
In the male category, Federal Polytechnic Ede defeated Abia Polytechnic 4-1 in a lively encounter, showing their readiness to challenge for the title. Federal Polytechnic Nekede edged past Kaduna Polytechnic 1-0 in a tight and competitive match.
The highlight of the day came from the match between Niger State Polytechnic, Zungeru, and Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku. After a goalless full time, Niger State Polytechnic clinched the win 5-4 on penalties, advancing in dramatic fashion.
With these results, the winning teams have set the tone for what promises to be an exciting tournament as the NIPOGA Games continue.
