NSUK VC To Present 1st Annual Public Lecture Series As NBS Turns 25.

The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed is to deliver the First Annual Public Lecture Series to commemorate the 25 years of the establishment of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS) Lafia.
Professor Suleiman stated this when he received the Executive Vice-Chairman of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service Mallam Auwwalu Salihu and the top management staff of the station who were in the University on a courtesy visit on Friday.
The Vice-Chancellor while accepting the offer appreciated the management of NBS for finding him worthy to deliver the first public lecture series of the station and also as an honor done to Nasarawa State University, Keffi. He promised to do justice to the topic that will be given to him and will personally attend the occasion.
Professor Suleiman thanked the management of NBS for the great relationship that the two organizations have been enjoying over time, stressing that NSUK will take advantage of the offer of sabbatical leaves and exchange of staff offered by NBS to further strengthen the bond that the two organizations have conceived which will be institutionalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding M.O.U. In the not-too-distant future.
Earlier in his remark, the Executive Vice-Chairman of NBS said they were in the University to intimate the the Vice-Chancellor and management of the University of the First Annual Public Lecture series which coincided with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Nasarawa State Broadcasting Service (NBS) by the Nasarawa State Government.

Mallam Salihu said the idea of the annual lecture series is to afford NBS and NSUK the opportunity of learning from each other by bringing “town and gown” together because of the vibrancy and intellectual diversity that exists in the University.
The Executive Vice-Chairman who described the visit as a homecoming because he was a lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication in the University before his elevation thanked the management of the University for the warm reception accorded him and his team.
Highlights of the occasion were the presentation of souvenirs by the Vice-Chancellor to the visiting team.
