ASUP Begins Fresh Strike in Plateau State as Warning Strike Expires
The Academic staff Union of polytechnics (ASUP) plateau state polytechnic chapter in conjunction with the Academic staff Union of plateau state tertiary institutions have today commence fresh strike over some unresolved demands and agreements which are yet to be implemented by the state government.
The Union declared an strike today Following the expiration of the two week ultimatum given to the Plateau State Government to implement the agreement it reached with the Joint Union of Academic Staff of Plateau State owned Tertiary Institutions, JUASPTI.
The Chairman of JUASPTI has therefore directed the polytechnic lecturers and other academic staff in the state owned tertiary institutions in plateau state oto proceed on an indefinite strike with effect from 12 midnight of Friday, June 17, 2022.

Sequel to this, there won’t be lectures and other academic activities across all state owned tertiary institutions in plateau state until further notice.
