Tender Justice with Mercy – ATAPOLY Students Apologize to Management over Violent Protest

The Students Union of the Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi has apologize to management and the general public over the unrest that occurred in the polytechnic on Tuesday over the suspension of Academic activities by the Academic and Non-academic staff union and promised to fish out the hoodlums.
POLYTV had earlier reported how some of the Students took the protest to government offices and destroyed properties.
The SUG president reacting to the development condemned the attitude displayed by the students and said the protest wasn’t planned with the student union. He appealed to the school management to forgive students involved in the unrest.

He said, “We the students union bodies wish to condole with the school management over the horrible and unpleasing traits been displayed by some of our students in the institution environs today. Accept our deep apologies as we the union representatives are currently working with the security men to phish out the perpetrators who instigate this horrible incident in order to mar the peaceful synergy and co-existence between the students and the management.”
The SUG president urged the Bauchi state government to quickly dialogue with the Joint Action Committee to put an end to the strike action by the polytechnic lecturers.
” We call and besieged the state Government of Bauchi under the leadership of students concerned leader cum Governor H.E Gov Bala Muhammed Kauran bauchi and the joint action committees of bauchi state to come to dialogue over this ongoing strike that commences today as this has thrown and subjected ATAPOLY students and other institutions into emotional frustration in their struggled career and academic pursuit as we are at the verge of rounding off this semester.
Students Protest as Polytechnic Lecturers Declares Indefinite Strike in Bauchi
“We the students have long stayed in our diverse course of studies due to unforeseen strike and other top challenges that kept on coming our ways without solid resolutions from National, state and the institution management itself. so many of us have wrinkle, shattered, frustrated, famish, financially destabilize, weathered in scorchy sun and as well got drench in heavy downpour and yet we haven’t see the light of the day in our set career goals…
“Students union government has on behalf of the entire students of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic wish to beg the two bodies STATE GOVERNMENT AND THE JOINT ACTION COMMITTEES to draw into a considerable conclusion in order to call off this 2-weeks warning strike…
“The students will continue to display our resiliency and patience as we hope and await for a positive response, result and conclusion from the aforementioned bodies.”
He added that, The students union Government of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic on behalf of the entire students wish to apologise the victims of the destruction and harm been caused by some of our frustrated students cum hoodlums. We promised to continue working with the state security command inorder to as a matter of exigent arrest those hoodlums in students clothing to avoid further hindrance, dismay, havoc and disruption of the peace the institution have been enjoying.”
