Rector Engages with Mass Communication Students in an exclusive Interview


Students from the Mass Communication Department of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, held an exclusive interview with the Rector, Bldr. Professor Emmanuel Achuenu. The interview, which took place in the Rector’s office formed a key part of the students’ practical training in the field of journalism.
The Editorial Board comprising students from the print journalism option played various roles in ensuring the success of the Departmental newspaper production. The interview session was both interactive and insightful.
During the session, the Rector expressed his delight at the students’ hands-on involvement in the exercise. He commended their efforts and encouraged them to be worthy Ambassadors of the institution.
Particularly, he appreciated the Editor-in-Chief, Umukoro Maxwell and the Feature Story Editor, Ebhohon Jonathan Aifuwa (who also serves as the SUG Public Relations Officer) for leading the interview team and contributing significantly to its success.
The Rector also took the opportunity to highlight his achievements since assuming office and reassured the students of his continued commitment to advancing the Polytechnic toward meeting global educational standards.
Furthermore, he acknowledged and thanked the Head of Department, Dr. Chike Nwabudike alongside other lecturers for their dedication to equipping students with practical knowledge relevant to their chosen career paths.
The interview was one of the activities lined up as part of the Department’s annual Academic program aimed at promoting experiential learning for students.
