Plateau Varsity Announces School Resumption

The Senate of Plateau State University Bokkos has ratified the appointments of Professor Pyefa Moses Galadima and Associate Professor Jurji Nengak Gomos as Deputy Vice Chancellor’s Academic and Administration respectively.
The decision was taken during a special meeting of the Senate held at the University Senate Chambers today.
The appointments of the two Deputy Vice Chancellor’s which takes immediate effect is for a period of two years in the first instance.
The University Senate also approved October 10,2022 as resumption date for newly admitted Students for the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 academic sessions for the continuation of registration and preparations for the commencement of lectures.
The Vice Chancellor had earlier during the meeting announced the promotion of Associate Professor Jonathan Angbas to the full Professor while Dr. Jurji Nengak Gomos and Dr. Ishaya Dashol were elavated to Associate Professors following the receipt of positive reports assessment reports on the elavated officers.
Meanwhile,the Vice Chancellor has congratulated the two Deputy Vice Chancellor’s and the other elavated officers and charged them to be diligent in the performance of their duties while pledging the commitment of the University Management to address welfare concerns of both staff and students as the University prepares for the restoration of normalcy in the academic calendar.
In a related development, members of the Senior Sttaff Association of Nigerian Universities, Plateau State University Bokkos branch who have been on strike have reported back to work following the recent directive of the Governing Council of the University.
