Osun Poly Alumni Launch N965m Infrastructure Project, Set to Build 1,500-Seat Amphitheatre

The Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Alumni Association has announced a major infrastructure initiative aimed at enhancing the learning environment within the institution. According to the association, a 1,500-capacity amphitheatre will be constructed as part of a comprehensive development project scheduled to begin in early 2026.
The National President of the Alumni Association, Yakub Adebayo, revealed that the amphitheatre forms the largest component of the N965 million development package. He disclosed that N890 million has been earmarked for the amphitheatre, while an additional N75 million will be used to construct a new, modern school gate for the polytechnic.
Adebayo made the announcement during an event outlining activities for the association’s 31st anniversary celebration at its secretariat in Iree, Osun State. He described the milestone as a testament to the association’s resilience, unity, and continuous growth over the years.
According to him, the association has expanded significantly from a small network of graduates into a vibrant community of professionals, innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders making an impact both within Nigeria and globally. He commended the polytechnic, founded in 1991, for its long-standing contribution to technical and vocational education in the country.
Adebayo noted that the unveiling of the multi-million-naira amphitheatre and the new school gate underscores the alumni body’s commitment to improving academic infrastructure and supporting a more conducive learning environment.
He added that as the association celebrates 31 years of shared achievements, it remains dedicated to advancing technical and vocational education, supporting institutional development, and creating meaningful opportunities for students and alumni.
