NUBAPOLY COMMENCES ACCREDITATION OF PROGRAMMES

Sequel to the expiration of accreditation of National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND) and National Certificate of Education (NCE) programmes run by Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, the institution received a team from the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) consisting resource persons from across tertiary institutions in Nigeria for re-accreditation of NCE Agric Education, NCE Technical Education, NCE Business Education and NCE General Education.
The team under the leadership of Dr. Umar Adamu Kwami, Director Academic Programmes who represented the Executive Secretary of the Commission was in the Polytechnic between 13th and 18th October, 2024.
In his welcome address during the Opening session, the Rector of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria Engr. Dr Mohammed Kabir Abdullahi welcomed the accreditation team to Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria and request them to highlight to the Polytechnic any grey area identified in the cause of their assignment to enable the Polytechnic improve. He also reiterated his commitment of maintaining suitable standard of all courses in the Polytechnic, adding that before the year runs out, the Polytechnic will also receive another team from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for Accreditation and re-accreditation of National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma(HND) courses as well as Resource inspection of propose new courses that includes National Diploma in Renewable Energy, Mechatronics and Chemical Engineering

In a similar development, the Deputy Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Thomas John Kajang who represented the Rector at the exit briefing session, appreciated the work of the Accreditation team, describing the exercise as a mirror to the Polytechnic where its areas of weakness will be seen. He assured them that the Polytechnic will appropriately address any grey area identified.
