NSUK Organizes Orientation Program For Freshers

The Directorate of Students Affairs Nasarawa State University, Keffi, on Tuesday 26th March 2024 organised an orientation program for new students who gained admission into the University for the 2023/2024 Academic session.
Speaking at the event which was held at the Convocation arena of the University, Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Professor Theophilus Lagi Charged the students to shun all forms of vices to make themselves true ambassadors of their various families and the University.
Professor Lagi added that stepping their foot into the University signals the beginning of a transformative journey filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and personal development. He further stated that as part of a community dedicated to excellence in education and research, they should not shy away from exploring new horizons, challenging conventional wisdom and pushing the boundaries of knowledge.
Earlier, the Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Joshua Magaji encouraged the newly admitted students to come out of their comfort zones and explore new horizons. He urged them to take advantage of the myriad of opportunities available such as research projects and internships which will develop them intellectually.
The Highlight of the event was the presentation of talks from the heads of the various units of the University such as the Registry, Bursary, Library, Security, Health Services, GST, Fire Sevice etc and also from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.


The orientation ceremony is an annual event organised by the Directorate of Students Affirs with the strong collaboration with the office of the Vice-Chancellor aimed at introducing newly admitted students to information regarding what is expected of them in terms of character, conduct and learning.
