NSE Ogbomoso branch visits Federal Polytechnic Ayede, pledges collaboration

The Ogbomoso branch of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), on Monday, paid a courtesy visit to Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede.
The delegation, comprised of eminent engineering professors from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, also used the avenue to congratulate the Rector on his appointment and commended his leadership role in running the Polytechnic with his dedicated management team.
During the visit, Engr. Prof. Samson Olakunle Ojoawo (FNSE), the Chairman of the Ogbomoso branch of the NSE, expressed his admiration for Dr. Abdul-Hameed’s accomplishments, noting that the positive impact of his initiatives showcased on various media platforms, including YouTube.
“We have seen the remarkable work you are doing at Federal Polytechnic Ayede, including recent awards received by the institution’s products (students and staff),” Prof. Ojoawo stated.
Ojoawo emphasized the importance of collaboration among engineers within the Polytechnic and expressed hope that the next NSE meeting would be hosted at the institution.
In his response, Dr. Abdul-Hameed (FNSE) assured Prof. Ojoawo of his full support and enthusiasm for collaboration with engineers at the Polytechnic.
“I am committed to fostering an environment of partnership and innovation…My family members have visited me today and I am grateful for the love extended to me and our institution,” he said.
The Deputy Rector (Administration), Dr. Muftar Akintunde, also expressed gratitude to the NSE team for their visit, wishing them a safe journey back to their destination.
“I will adore our great Rector because he always ‘walks his talk as a tallk-and-do eminent personality’,” Dr. Akintunde said.
The meeting highlighted the growing synergy between educational institutions and professional bodies, aiming to enhance engineering practices and education in Nigeria.
Other members of the team included: Engr. Prof. O. J. Oyelade, Engr. Prof. A. A. Adegbola (FNSE), Engr. Prof. J. J. Afolabi, Engr. Prof. T. B. Onifade, Engr. Prof. A. O. Oke, Engr. Prof. M. O. Aremu (FNSE), and Engr. Prof. R. O. Abolade.
