Women for Women International (WfWI) is currently accepting applications for its Fall 2025 Global Business Development Internship. This fully remote opportunity offers a valuable hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly for students with interests in international development, gender equality, and humanitarian aid.

About the Organization

Since 1993, WfWI has transformed the lives of over 550,000 marginalized women in conflict-affected countries including Afghanistan, South Sudan, Nigeria, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Through its Stronger Women, Stronger Nations program, the organization provides women with tools and resources to rebuild their lives, support their families, and contribute to community resilience.

Role Overview

The intern will support the Global Business Development team under the supervision of the Senior Manager for Global Government Partnerships. The position also involves collaboration with departments such as Marketing, Communications, and Development.

This internship offers a rare opportunity to gain first-hand experience in fundraising strategies, donor engagement, and strategic partnerships at an international nonprofit.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on potential donors, funding trends, partner organizations, and international development priorities.
  • Maintain and update the organization’s Salesforce CRM system with accurate donor and partner information.
  • Assist in creating donor-facing materials such as one-pagers, presentations, and outreach content.
  • Coordinate and document meetings, including scheduling, taking minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Attend relevant online events and webinars to compile insights for the team.
  • Help develop profiles and background briefs for prospective partners.
  • Support internal file management, document version control, and relationship tracking.
  • Contribute to logistics and planning for virtual or in-person donor cultivation events.
  • Facilitate cross-team communication to ensure consistency in partner engagement.
  • Carry out other administrative and research-related tasks as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in International Development, Gender Studies, Political Science, Human Rights, or a similar field.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities with great attention to detail.
  • Experience using CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
  • Able to work independently and effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Previous experience in an office or nonprofit setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated passion for gender equity, social justice, and humanitarian causes.

  • Start Date: September 9, 2025
  • End Date: December 9, 2025
  • Time Commitment: 20–25 hours weekly
  • Compensation: $195 monthly stipend
  • Location: Remote (some optional virtual or local events may be included)
