NIGER GOV GIFTS CORPS MEMBERS N200,000 EACH, BUDGETS N5BN FOR NYSC CAMP

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members posted to Niger State, Governor Mohammed Bago has announced a series of generous gestures.
According to the governor, the state government will commit a staggering N5 billion towards the construction of a permanent orientation camp for the NYSC program in the state.
Additionally, Governor Bago revealed that all corps members under Batch B Stream I, currently serving in Niger State, will receive a “bonus” of N200,000 each to make their stay more comfortable. The governor also promised to provide 20 cows and a trailer load of rice to further support the corps members.
“All corps members serving in Niger State today are entitled to a N200,000 bonus from Niger farms. So, each of you has N200,000; I understand you’re about 1,600. So we are going to credit your account with N200,000. This is to give you comfort to stay in Niger State,” the governor stated.
This significant investment and support from the Niger State government underscores the importance it places on the NYSC program and the welfare of the corps members deployed to the state.
The N5 billion allocation for the construction of a permanent NYSC orientation camp is a testament to the state’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for the young graduates who are contributing to the nation’s development through their service year.
